Today we celebrate our second birthday! We can hardly believe it’s been two whole years since we first open our doors in Virginia Beach! It’s been a wild ride ever since, and we couldn’t be more grateful to all the people who made this possible – including all our customers, and our hardworking team.
Before we opened our little farm-to-table restaurant in Virginia Beach, we were operating as a pop-up called “Commune Crepes”. We initially planned to just focus on crepes, but quickly realized we wanted to do much more than JUST crepes! I mean, can you imagine Commune without our some of our favorite dishes like Chicken and Waffles, Southern Rice Bowl or Eggs Benedict? Check our little throwback menu from one of our first pop-ups at Pendulum in Norfolk (Who would’ve thought that day we’d eventually open a second location in Norfolk!? Life is crazy).
It’s been a complete pleasure and joy to serve our community by providing locally sourced, seasonal, and delicious food. We plan to keep on spreading the word and changing the way Hampton Roads eats!
